Complete dentures
A full denture will be fitted if all you are having old complete denture/s replaced or if you have no teeth on upper or lower jaws. They can be highly aesthetic and the fit using modern impression materials can be excellent. Your CDT will check your mouth and advise on the best options for you. If you are replacing an old set consideration should be made for any change to colour of the teeth, materials or facial support. Complete dentures usually will require several visits and can take 2/3 weeks to produce. In an emergency your CDT can usually expedite this process. If you have dentures fitted immediately after the removal of teeth, the gums and bone will alter in shape quickly and the dentures will probably need relining or remaking after a 3/6 months.Partial Acrylic Dentures

Partial dentures are intended to replace missing teeth by filling in the gaps within your smile. They come in various materials such as plastic, nylon, or metal, with a set of false teeth attached to a plate.
These dentures are typically designed to fit around your existing natural teeth, providing stability and support. Metal clasps are often used to securely hold the partial denture in place within your mouth. They can be easily unclipped and removed for cleaning or as needed.
In some cases, the clips used to secure the partial denture may be made of a tooth or gum coloured material material for aesthetic purposes. However, these types of clips may not always be suitable as they can be more prone to breakage compared to metal clasps.
Metal partial dentures are typically crafted from an alloy of cobalt and chromium. They offer numerous advantages over acrylic dentures, primarily due to their superior strength and reduced bulkiness. Chrome dentures can be designed to be much smaller, thinner, and less conspicuous, while still maintaining excellent durability compared to traditional acrylic alternatives. One notable benefit of chrome dentures is their ability to expose more of the palate, which can improve speech clarity and enhance the ability to taste foods. While the base of these dentures is composed of chrome, artificial teeth are attached to the metal framework using acrylic. Moreover, natural teeth can provide additional retention for chrome dentures through the use of clasps. Additionally, natural teeth play a crucial role in distributing the load and stress exerted on the denture, contributing to overall greater stability and comfort for the wearer.
Flexible dentures are a modern alternative to traditional rigid dentures, offering increased comfort and aesthetics for dental patients. Made from a flexible thermoplastic material such as nylon or a thermoplastic resin, these dentures are lightweight, durable, and biocompatible. The flexibility of the material allows for a snug and comfortable fit, reducing the risk of irritation or sore spots often associated with conventional dentures. Additionally, flexible dentures provide excellent esthetics, as they can closely match the natural color of the gums, giving a more natural appearance. Their versatility allows them to adapt well to changes in the mouth, making them an ideal choice for patients with irregular jawbone structures or those who have experienced bone resorption. Overall, flexible dentures offer a comfortable, aesthetic, and functional solution for individuals seeking an alternative to traditional dentures.
CDT’s can repair, adjust and add missing teeth to existing dentures. In some instances, it may not be possible to modify your appliance. Your CDT can advise you about a replacement denture in such circumstances.

Anti-snoring appliances are devices designed to alleviate snoring by addressing underlying issues such as airway obstruction during sleep. These appliances come in various forms, including mandibular advancement devices (MADs) and tongue retaining devices (TRDs). MADs work by slightly advancing the lower jaw forward during sleep, which helps keep the airway open and reduces snoring. TRDs, on the other hand, hold the tongue in a forward position to prevent it from obstructing the airway. Both types of devices are custom-fitted to ensure maximum comfort and effectiveness. Anti-snoring appliances offer a non-invasive and relatively simple solution for individuals suffering from snoring, improving sleep quality for both the snorer and their sleep partner. It's important to consult with a qualified healthcare professional to determine the most suitable appliance based on individual needs and preferences.
Implant-retained dentures are like upgraded dentures that stay in place better. They use special implants as anchors, which are like strong posts attached to your jawbone. These implants keep your dentures secure, so they won't slip around when you're eating or talking. With implant-retained dentures, you can eat what you like and feel more confident because they fit snugly and feel natural. Plus, they help keep your jawbone healthy, just like real teeth do. So, if you're tired of dealing with dentures that move around, implant-retained dentures could be the solution you've been looking for.
